- What is the iFinger search engine?

The iFinger search engine is a software program that incorporates structured information databases. The program then provides the user with instant access to that information.
- What is an iFinger dictionary?

All dictionaries provided at the iFinger web site are electronic editions which can be used by the iFinger search engine. You can add as many dictionaries as you wish.
- What is the Pop-up Window?

The Pop-up Window appears automatically from your title bar when you move your cursor over a word in a web browser, or in any Windows based program. The Pop-up Window contains a summary of the results of the search from the product that you've installed.

- What is the Article Window?

The Article Window will give you the entire listing as it appears in your product. If there is more text than will fit in the display window, you can scroll down to see the entire article by using the scroll bar on the right hand side of the Article Window. When you have finished reading from the Article Window, you can return to the Pop-up Window by hitting the "up" arrow.
- Can I keep the Article Window open?

Yes. After you hit the "down" arrow, simply check the box that says "Keep Article Open". Once checked, the Article Window will remain open for each product's listing in which you've chosen to hit the down arrow. To close it, un-check the "Keep Article Window" box, and click outside the window.
- What is the Down Arrow?

The Pop-up Window will provide you with a summary of the listings from the products in which you're searching.
If there is more information than can be displayed in the Pop-up Window, you will also see a down arrow in this window. When you click on the "down" arrow, the rest of the listing will appear in the Article Window.
- Can I add new words in a dictionary?

No, but you can create your own dictionary where you have the ability to edit the words as you wish.
- What is Wikipedia?

Wikipedia is a free online encyclopedia in which the general public can participate in updating the content.
- How does Wikipedia work with iFinger?

To use Wikipedia with iFinger requires a connection to the internet. Once connected, iFinger will then offer a link to the definition of the word you selected in your local language Wikipedia in addition to the definition provided by your iFinger dictionary.
- What is a download?

It's the transfer of the product that you've selected, directly from the iFinger web site onto the hard disk of your computer.
- How do I download a product?

The instructions for download will be clearly explained when you buy your product.
- I have already bought a product, how do I download it?

All products are available for download from our web as a trial. When you have found your product, select "Try It" and the product will be downloaded and installed. After a successful installation start or restart the iFinger search engine, and you will be given the option to insert your license key for the full product.
- How long will it take to download?

The download time will vary depending on the size of the product that you've chosen to buy, i.e. the size of the file varies depending on how much information is contained in it. The approximate download time will be clearly indicated in the product information, but the actual time will depend on the speed and quality of your internet connection.
- How many products can I download?

You can buy and download as many as you wish. The iFinger search engine can handle multiple dictionaries, and will perform a search through all installed content.
- After I decide which products I would like to buy, do I have to download them all at the same time?

No; Once you've paid for the product, we'll send you a license key and a link to where you can download the product at any time.
The product files are always available, so you can come back and download them again if need be. However, if you have repeated problems with your computer, then simply contact our customer support on support@ifinger.com and we'll help you resolve the issue.
- Which versions of Vista can run iFinger?

Currently iFinger runs on all 32 bit versions of Vista, including Ultimate, Home Premium, Home Basic and Business.
- Does iFinger run on Vista 64 bit?

Yes. The current version supports both XP and Vista 64 bit.
- Double click does not work! Why?
-
Internet Explorer 7 running in Windows Vista "steals" the double click from iFinger. That means as long as IE is running, you must double click and then press the hot key (default [CTRL]+[F11]) in order to perform a search.
